Yes they make safety blinkers, lights and collars with lights for dogs, but which one is the best?
It really depends on it’s overall quality, how it was built and what you will be using it for.
My search began when my cat decided he wanted to hang out with the kids, neighbors and stalk birds in the cul-de-sac on our street. Even though he stays in the cul-de-sac area I wanted to be sure a hurried neighbor didn’t accidentally hit him.
BTW: We are looking to buy a house and I will put up a Kennel type fence around the house for him to play in the yard, but for now I am lucky to have the best neighbors who love and watch out for him.
Now for the review:
The Bling Bling Blinker (blue one on the left)

It has 2 varieties one with red, white and blue and the other just blue and white that strobe fast. They are small and light enough for a cat to wear, They are also water resistant. so I chose a red, white and blue one first.
I got it home and it stopped working, so at 6.99 I threw it away and got another red, white and blue one. It stopped working within a month and I took it back! Petco gladly exchanged it. I couldn’t get any of the other brands to work, so I chose a blue Bling Bling Blinker. I have had it less then a month and it too stopped working. I cleaned it, put new batteries in it and it still was weak light wise. I opened it and it was dirty inside. This was supposed to be a sealed water proof unit? I used alcohol swabs to clean it and by the next day it worked like new again!
I do not believe it is waterproof! I think all of the red, white and blue ones are defective and the craftsmanship for something they are calling a safety item is poor!

Purchased from PetSmart (Bone Shape On Right) The light activates when there is dim light and motion, however the package did not tell me it was a strobe type light. I was pleased about this, because with there being no other quality options made for a 22lb cat this was my only choice left!
In the end I went back to the blue and white Bling Bling strobe light, because this one only works when he moves in the dim light. When he stops the Spot Safety light is quick to turn off. Though he does NOT hang out in the street area he does sometimes stop to smell a “rose” or two. I guess with no other options I will just keep replacing the Bling Bling light as it goes bad!
The PetSafe Ultra Light Receiver Dog Collar:
Buzz Bee Rating: No rating due to it being over priced

Is 99.99 so I am not going to buy it! I see no special reason to have this collar unless my dog becomes a coal miner, lol It also is to be used on the radio fence system for Pet Safe. I had one before and I would not pay 99.99 for a collar for it! USA Users seem to agree as only 6 USA Users rated it with an average 3.5 out of 5 Stars combined!
